update
yoh this new umbrella of mine is a beast. If you live in kingston and were outside today at around 3:30, we were probably caught in one of the worst rain/wind/thunder storms yet this year. Hold up. Now aren't you supposed to put your umbrella away during an electrical storm? Not this puppy since it's all plastic (the shaft might be metal tho but it's reinforced by solid wood-looking plastic). But mang. The wind was out in full force today and seemingly hitting at all directions at once making it real hard for someone to position themselves and their umbrellas in the direction of the wind to avoid inside-out-itis. So many-a-times, i got strong gusts inside the umbrella but it was on point. The plastic beams which support this umbrella do give (there's considerable flex) but that's kinda like steel ladders (which are supposed to bend (not break) under pressure). So i arrived to the lib half-dry (pants were soaked good) but with a phat smile on my face knowing that my multicoloured rain stopper passed its first big test. And just to add, it dries reeeall quick too since the fabric is like dry-fit (or nylon). I'm wondering how everyone else is holding up with their waterstoppers. Kat? Kev (did u get urs yet?). Anyone else? Lets have some testimonials.

I saw some guy brave a gust of wind with his Queen's umbrella. I was IMPRESSED. It looked like it was a goner for a couple of seconds (while the wind was still blowing at it) but it went right back to its normal shape right after.

I didn't get it yesterday since it was sunny. Today i didn't have time. If i've got time tommorow i'm picking one up!

it's a bEASTTTTT!!! i saw kev's umbie yesterday.. oh myyYYY.. it was equivalent to a house... it also sports quite an impressive array of colours (only cause it's queens). Good to know.. you guys have "protection".. haha now you have to come up with a good way to keep those pant legs dry.. possibly a plastic cover, or you could just tuck them into your shoes (cause it's the cool thing to do !!
