| back from springbreak right back to...springbreak |
Had the chance to do an interisland cruise with the fam who was up here for the week for springbreak. Now I haven't blogged much recently in part due to laziness but also due to respect. Respectful of what you might say? Respectful to YOUR feelings. You see, i look at the opportunity to be in Hawai'i pursuing a meaningful education as a huge blessing... and most of you do a good job in reminding me of this by the constant winter weather updates in the Great White Northfor example. And given that this blog for the most part is my outlet to both rant and rave about my surroundings, I feel I'm in a bind with YOUR feelings if i do either:
Here's an example:
Me: Hey friend! I gotta tell you about the crazy surf swells that we've been getting! Today I was catching waves for the whole afternoon! Stoked!
Friend: Really? Well It just snowed again here and I have a cold. I hate you.
...
And here's another:
...
Me: Man i had the worst day today. I just got raped on a test.
Friend: Really? Cry me a river. Well it just snowed again here and I have a cold. I hate you.
...
Well of course not all of you will say that to my face, but c'mon now, that's what all you crazy canucks are thinking. So out of sensitivity, i will try to refrain to post pics of volcanoes, valleys, mountains, and bronze skin and refrain from going into elaborate detail of the things i'm learning here whether they are out of praise or rant.
