so after four long years of struggling and toil, i finally got a picture of what revival is and is supposed to be like. God, you so craaazzzzzy. But crazzzzzzy as in crazzzzzzy good. And the joy that comes with living revival... it's like I'm giddy like a schoolgirl. Yep that's the best analogy I can come up with. ha. But alas, a real good verse from joshua 1:8 that sums it up better than i can:
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. |

yeah, honestly, everyone has their own perspective on this. For me, it's painfully simple. read the Word. Meditate on it so that the word is active and speaking to you throughout the day. Memorize it even. That way, like it says in Joshua, you'll be careful to follow what it says. And man, there is such a joy that comes from being obedient to God. It might be hard at first to get that sense of discipline down in terms of reading and meditating, but then it gets easier, and then you get a thirst for it, then it's alllll gravy, and all of a sudden, the word is alive and well in your heart and when you can hear God that clearly, everything falls into place. That's just me speaking from personal experience. finally getting down to actually reading the word and seeking to understand what the words meant to me was just the starting place
